I cannot recommend Mr Abuzoda highly enough. An outstanding Surgeon dedicated to his profession and patient care. What should have been a standard laparoscopic salpingo-oophorectomy turned out to be much more complicated than expected. Mr Abuzoda also had to also remove a completely unexpected large 'grapefruit size' ovarian cyst. This had not been picked up prior to surgery and several internal and external scans. Mr Abuzoda - from the very first meeting was very kind and thorough in his explanation to what would happen prior to surgery and during surgery. Post operatively - Mr Abuzoda again excelled in patient care as I had developed a wound site infection. Though very common after surgery I was worried and upset but after meeting with Mr Abuzoda within 24 hours I was and now am fighting fit! My operation was a huge success. His kindness and professionalism and obvious dedication to his work therefore makes him a brilliant surgeon and I can't thank him enough for helping me get well. Mr Abuzoda is a phenomenal Consultant. He takes more time to listen to his patients than any other doctor we have ever seen. He is thorough, attentive and welcomes patient questions with thorough answers. We could not have been in better hands on the day our Daughter came into the world! We were so impressed with the time he spent with us before and at the end of the C-section. It was an absolutely incredible birth experience. Mr Abuzoda is a world class OBGYN, and we look forward to delivering our second baby with him. We highly recommend him - The NHS is lucky to have him!

I was first introduced to Mr Abuzoda when I was having a cerclage put in at 23 weeks. Mr Abuzoda was called into the theatre for his support and expertise as the current surgeon found scar tissue and insufficient space (a short / flat cervix) to place a stitch. When he entered the room he clearly introduced himself and explained the situation and his next steps. He was friendly, caring and professional. After the procedure, he clearly explained what had happened, what he had done and his expectations of how the stitch might hold. The stitch was successful and I was lucky enough to go to term. After I delivered my daughter I had major internal haemorrhage and Mr Abuzoda was on duty. He repaired / reconstructed my cervix that was torn in around 5/7 places. I was very lucky he did this and again I can't thank him enough. After the surgery, Mr Abuzoda came round to the recovery suite and clearly explained what had happened. Once again he was reassuring, professional and caring. He also took the time to go over the details in a 6 week follow up appointment. I would highly recommend Mr Abuzoda, he is a real star of the NHS.
